STEPH JUDGEMENT: A downtown stalwart that's still doing it. I didn't realize I'd never reviewed this place! I used to come here fairly often in the early 2010s, but hadn't been in years. The hubby and I were doing a downtown staycation and decided to step in for happy hour. It was pretty much as I remembered: the bar is upstairs, with the Scottish hunting lodge theme intact--dark walls and mounted deer heads everywhere. The bartender, nattily attired in a vest, was friendly and efficient. The $11 happy hour old fashioneds were well-made and delicious. We lingered over our drinks but didn't get another, as we were on our way somewhere, but we were glad to have stopped in. Would definitely come back for happy hour.

Classic spot on my top three if you like cigar with dim lighting live banjo band playing and fine whiskey for burger and carry your poisonous a real Bonnie and Clyde scenario also can't forget the private tequila bar by underneath on selected nights down to be a classic place to visit on any night so it's definitely a must visit when in town.

My boyfriend and I love this place. They have pool tables and an amazing alcohol selection. The bartenders are great too. You won't find an ambiance like this anywhere else. No food here by the way, but come for happy hour. Ends at 7.

I live how beautifully decorated this place is. It has a rustic feel and plenty of seating. The staff is friendly Service a bit on the slow side. Had to constantly remind the server of our order. And the prices were moderate.

I had amazing experience at the Seven Grand . I would like to say the bartender did a wonderful job she was very helpful with guiding me with the drinks menu. I love that they had extra space in the back of the bar which was helpful when looking for a seat. Overall it's a great place to go with your friends I hope you guys give it a try .

So much fun! Bar hopping in downtown LA with about 10 of us and this was our first stop! I didn't want to leave! The place was packed (Saturday night) Very comfortable vibe, music playing, pool table, lots of high tables and a side patio. The bar service was great as were the drinks! Tons of whiskey options too. I think this is aka Bar Jackalope? Anyway! Check it out!

Terrible place. Irish coffee is too good. Had 4. Great service, intimate atmosphere. Nice balcony, the speakeasy was closed tonight but it was still a great night.

Seven Grand is one of L.A.'s best bars - classy and stylish with superb drinks and service. It's a bloke's pub, with dark wood, forest green accents, huntsman décor, and flowing whiskey. I enjoy their classic old fashioned, but I've also tried cocktails like a raspberry fizz, a bright pink concoction served in a mason jar, which made my macho man bristle. I spent a New Year's Eve here one year - it was a special place to ring in a near year, and it'll be a memorable experience even if you pop in on a date night.

When I think of bars in Los Angeles. Seven Grand is always in that topic. Regardless what the occasion is , Seven Grand is always a go to. Looking to mingle, just have a drink, post work meltdown? Seven Grand. It's dark. Welcoming. And comfortable. Occasionally a live band will be playing. Sometimes it's shoulder to shoulder. Regardless what was going on Seven Grand was always there for me. Smoking area to the side. Pool tables. What else could you ask for? Oh did I mention the superior Whiskey list? The exceptional tenders that know how to make a drink? My favorite dranks here are: Old Fashioned. This is a staple here and yes this is how they are made. Always solid. Boilermaker. Whatever their well whiskey is, well its delicious. Hot Toddy. If you know you know. Im pretty sure this can cure any ailment. I recently tried a Big Mak. It was fresh and perfect for the warm weather outside. Note their cocktail menu rotates. Bar tenders are well knowledgable and can concoct just about anything within their arsenal. I'll be back Seven Grand. Thank you for your libations and overall comfort.

Top notch whiskey bar on the very top! And very much open to all, which puts it as high as you can get for this gent. Located on 7th Street & Grand Avenue with a very outside streamline look and feel that your almost easily walk by if not for the noticeable neon Stag Sign hanging above the entrance just off a small alley to a neighboring bar I can never remember the name of. You'll know you're also in the right spot as there is a door person outside downstairs and they do card [ID - driver's license, state ID, passport or passport card are all valid, I believe they might accept a photo copy as well] This goes for everyone or just about everyone regardless of age, which has always been a thing that I respect and they have the right to do. From there you'll pass the formerly Mas Malo, V DTLA, and a few others now Bar CDMX. You'' ascend the staircase... A nice journey and take it all in. A dark earthy den of whiskey, comfort and leisure. Deep greens, browns and what one would expect an epic lodge-esque study meets recreation space to feel as well as look like. Display case of bottles just before their front door into the main tavern is impressive, but not as impressive as the scotches, bourbons and whiskeys along their massive bar wall. Popping in for some cocktails and chill, treating my guy to some of his favorite pastime activities including whiskey, cigars and spending time with each other. I hadn't been in for a few years and he had never been, so it was really cool to enjoy a truly great afternoon together taking it all in. We spent most of our Grand adventure on their enclosed patio terrace space just past the billiard tables (one door for entrance and another for exit)... Oh... Yes, there's pool! TVs, music, and a fun mix of people. We met some nice guys including one who just broke up with his girlfriend and poured his out to us. Hang in there champ! There was plenty of friendly strangers to aid in cheering him up. As well as plenty of seating and space to hang out at the bar, a few cool well lit corners with padded seating, as well as some limited spots inside. They have live music/bands during the week at night from 10AM to 1PM, typically Monday through Thursdays. Cleanest restrooms in DTLA by far! Above and beyond drinks, signatures (cocktails that is) and just about everything you'd expect or can dream of. Cigars are available for purchase here, but you can also bring your own. Toki High Ball is one refreshing drink and the Gold Rush is a classic, both on their nightly happy hour (which goes until 8pm). All their menu drinks align with a picture a the glass your beverage will be made in... Definitely enjoy the mixology show! Lastly... If you open a tab, make sure you close it as they give you your card back immediately after you open it or for any transaction. Which can be a little different than some places. Q Tip: Inquiry about Bar Jackalope (speakeasy). Wheelchair accessible through the main street entrance/ground floor. For questions/inquiries they're very great at responding both in-person and online. It's DTLA parking (lots and/or street) and transit accessible (Go Metro).
